The best hosted URL redirect services in 2026
Seven services that redirect a domain for you, with HTTPS, so you never run a server: SiteDetour, Urllo (formerly EasyRedir), redirect.pizza, RedirHub, Domain Forward, Rebrandly and Bitly. Prices, limits and the job each one is best at. One of them costs a quarter of the enterprise options and is the only one that bundles QR codes, landing pages and routing.
Trusted by universities, government agencies, credit unions and brands since 2019
The seven, and what each is best at
Ordered by how well each fits the most common job: redirecting a few to a few dozen business domains with HTTPS, without a developer.
SiteDetour: best overall, and the best value
Hosted 301/302 redirects with automatic HTTPS, exact and prefix path rules, query forwarding, real-time analytics kept for life and unmetered traffic from $12 a month for 5 domains ($45 for 30). The only service here that also includes dynamic QR codes on your own domain, hosted landing pages and audiences that route by country, device, language or time, so it replaces two or three other subscriptions. Unlimited team members on every plan, SSO on Business, trusted by universities, government agencies and credit unions since 2019. No free-forever tier and no public SOC 2 report yet. Our product.
Urllo (formerly EasyRedir): best for enterprise procurement
Mature, SOC 2-certified redirect hosting from $49 a month for 25 redirects, with lost-traffic reports and unlimited users. Advanced matching and SSO are paid add-ons ($50 to $150 a month), so a full setup costs four to eight times SiteDetour Professional. No QR codes, routing or landing pages. Pick it only when the security questionnaire matters more than price.
redirect.pizza: best free tier for developers
Free for 5 hostnames with a monthly request cap, then about €15 a month for 15 hostnames and €49 for 100. Automatic HTTPS, path rules capped per plan, 3 to 12 months of analytics, dynamic destinations on Pro, SAML on Business. Lean and developer-oriented; every plan meters requests, and there are no QR codes or landing pages.
RedirHub: best for very large domain portfolios
$49 a month for 25 domains, $119 for 250. HTTPS, path rules, QR codes with scan data, routing on Pro, REST API plus an MCP server for AI tools. Analytics retention is short (90 days to 6 months) and SSO is a $200 a month add-on. Makes sense from a few hundred domains up; below that SiteDetour Professional hosts 30 domains for $4 less with far more included.
Domain Forward: best cheap forwarding
Free for 5 hostnames, $15 a month for 30, $99 for 200. Automatic HTTPS, path rules, analytics, dynamic destinations on the top tier, 2 team members free. Does one thing at a low price; no QR codes or landing pages, and routing by country or device costs the top tier where SiteDetour includes it from $12.
Rebrandly: best for branded short links, not domain redirects
A link shortener priced by links and clicks (free for 10 links, paid from about $11 a month). Excellent for campaign links on your own short domain; not designed to forward an entire domain or path tree. Listed because people search for it when they mean redirects.
Bitly: best-known, for links and QR codes only
Free tier, paid from about $10 a month, SOC 2, huge integration ecosystem. Shortens links and makes QR codes on bit.ly or a paid custom domain. Cannot redirect a whole domain, so it belongs in a different category despite the name recognition.
Not included
Registrar forwarding (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare rules): free but usually no HTTPS on the source domain, no path mapping and no analytics. Fine for a parked domain, not for a migration. Self-hosted nginx or Apache: full control, but you own the server, the certificates and the on-call.
Side by side
From vendor pricing pages on 14 October 2026. redirect.pizza prices come from its Capterra and GetApp listings because its site loads pricing by script.
How to choose a redirect service
Five questions that separate the seven more than any feature list.
1. Is it a domain redirect or a short link?
Forwarding old-site.com/* to new-site.com/* is a hosted redirect job (SiteDetour, Urllo, redirect.pizza, RedirHub, Domain Forward). Sharing go.brand.com/sale on social is a short-link job (Rebrandly, Bitly, also SiteDetour).
2. Does traffic get metered?
Request caps turn a campaign spike or a bot wave into an outage or an upgrade. SiteDetour and Urllo do not meter; redirect.pizza and the link shorteners cap by plan.
3. Does HTTPS just work?
All five redirect hosts issue certificates automatically for apex and www. Registrar forwarding usually does not, which is why old https:// links break after a registrar-only redirect.
4. Do you need path rules and routing?
A migration needs old paths mapped to new ones with query strings kept. Campaigns and global brands also want one domain to send visitors to different pages by country, device or language. Check which tier includes it; on SiteDetour it is every plan.
5. What else will you pay for?
SSO add-ons ($150 to $200 a month at Urllo and RedirHub), advanced matching add-ons, custom QR domains, and separate subscriptions for QR codes or landing pages. Price the whole stack, not the entry plan.
Questions people ask about redirect services
What is a hosted URL redirect service?
A service that serves HTTP redirects for domains you point at it, so you do not run a web server. You add the domain and the destination, change one DNS record, and the service answers requests with a 301 or 302 and an HTTPS certificate it issues for you.
What is the cheapest way to redirect a domain with HTTPS?
For a handful of low-traffic hostnames, redirect.pizza and Domain Forward have free tiers with caps. For business use without caps, SiteDetour's $12 a month plan covers 5 domains with www included free on each, and bundles QR codes and routing that would cost extra subscriptions elsewhere.
Can I just use my registrar's domain forwarding?
For a parked domain, yes. For anything that had traffic, usually no: registrar forwarding typically lacks HTTPS on the source domain, path mapping and analytics, so old https:// links and deep links break.
Which redirect service is best for SEO during a migration?
Any of the five redirect hosts can serve correct 301s over HTTPS. What preserves rankings is mapping each old path to the matching new page rather than sending everything to the homepage. SiteDetour includes path rules on every plan, previews CSV imports before they go live and offers a free redirect checker to verify the result.
What is the difference between a redirect service and a URL shortener?
A redirect service forwards entire domains and path trees; a shortener creates individual short links on a short domain. Rebrandly and Bitly are shorteners. SiteDetour, Urllo, redirect.pizza, RedirHub and Domain Forward are redirect services; SiteDetour also does short links and QR codes.
Why is SiteDetour first on its own list?
Because for the most common job, a few to a few dozen business domains with HTTPS and no developer, it is the lowest-priced unmetered option and the only one that bundles QR codes, landing pages and routing, so it replaces several tools at once. Where a competitor has an edge the list says so: Urllo for SOC 2, redirect.pizza and Domain Forward for capped free tiers, RedirHub for hundreds of domains.
