A tour of SiteDetour features
Overview of what SiteDetour does: redirects, Smart QR codes, short URLs, personalization, landing pages, and analytics.
Overview
SiteDetour is a hosted URL redirect and smart-link platform. It sits between visitors and your web properties at the DNS/HTTPS layer, and routes each request based on rules you configure. This article maps every feature area at a glance.
Redirects
Map source domains (or subdomains) to target URLs with path-based rules. Each redirect supports multiple paths, 301/302/307 status codes, path and querystring forwarding, HSTS, HTTP-to-HTTPS upgrades, and reverse-proxy (Cloudflare) compatibility. Free auto-renewing Let's Encrypt SSL.
See: Creating a redirect.
Smart QR codes & short URLs
Create a short URL on your own link domain (or use qr.sitedetour.com for free). Each short URL has a matching Smart QR code image, fully customizable (colors, eye styles, logo, error correction). Downloadable as PNG, SVG, or PDF. AI-generated QR code art is available via the Generate AI QR Code Art button.
See: Smart QR codes and short URLs.
Personalization audiences
Build reusable audience definitions from 14+ targeting rules (country, device, browser, OS, language, referrer, time of day, geographic radius, query parameters, and more). Attach audiences to smart targets on Smart Links, or to redirect rules, to route different visitor segments to different destinations.

Landing pages
Host HTML landing pages on your SiteDetour link domain. Build them with a drag-and-drop visual editor (GrapesJS), generate them from a prompt with AI, or paste in your own HTML/CSS. Pages render at https://{link-domain}/landing/{path}.
See: Hosted landing pages overview.
Analytics
Real-time traffic dashboard at the org level and per-resource level. Metrics: hits, top countries, referring domains, referrer source category (organic, paid, social, direct, referral), device type, HTTP scheme, and time series with hourly/daily/weekly/monthly granularities. Pseudonymized IPs; no PII persisted.
See: Real-time traffic statistics.
Teams, organizations, and permissions
Invite unlimited users to your organization. Four permission levels (Owner, Administrator, View/Edit, Read Only). Subdivide users into teams to segregate which resources each group can see and edit.
Security
TOTP-based multi-factor authentication for every user. Single Sign On via OIDC/OAuth 2.0 — Azure AD, Okta Workforce Identity, and other OIDC-compatible IdPs on Business/Enterprise plans.
API
A full REST API covers every dashboard operation. Authenticate with a Bearer token generated from the API page. Rate limit: 240 requests per minute per token.
